Oba Odundun II (Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi; December 28, 1956-) is a Nigerian monarch and is the current ruler, or Deji of Akure. He is a member of the Osupa/Odundun Ruling house.
Early Life
editOdundun II was born as Prince Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi to the Olu of Alayere in Ayede-Ogbese, the ruler of a small village near Akure on December 20, 1956. He is the great-grandson of Oba Odundun I, the Deji of Akure, who ruled Akure from 1882-1890, and thus is part of the Osupa/Odundun ruling branch of the Omoremilekun Asodeboyede Dynasty. He attended the St. Patrick's Elementary School in Apomu, Akure and later attended the renowed Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure.[1]. He then attended the Florida State University in Miami, Flordia, United States and graduated in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in Architecture. He later recieved a masters degree in Architecture from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, in 1984.
