WikiProject Operating systems is devoted to creating and maintaining articles related to all types of operating systems, from macOS versions, to all kinds of Linux distributions. This project is the creator and maintainer of the Operating systems portal.

Goals

Maintain the Operating Systems Portal

As the Operating Systems portal is quite new, our goal is to make sure the portal looks nice, has a decent amount of information, and is up-to-date.

Maintain and Update Operating System Articles

There are tons of Operating system stubs, that could use expansion. This also includes larger articles, which could be expanded and updated. Some organization and presentation-based edits would be great, such as the prime example of a well-presented article, Windows 11.

Scope

WikiProject Operating systems intends to cover articles about individual operating systems (e.g. Windows 7 and macOS High Sierra), their built-in utilities (e.g. Cmd.exe and File Explorer), and backend components (e.g. Windows API).
