I have been a Wikipedia editor since 2023 and my subject interests include local history and art history.
My significant contributions have been on the pages for:
- Hampton - the London suburb where I live
- Tagg's Island - an island on the River Thames nearby
- Edward Jesse - a natural history writer, responsible for the restoration of Hampton Court Palace in the mid-19th century
- Thomas Willement - a 19th century stained glass artist (who inter alia worked with Jesse)
- Historic Royal Palaces - the charity responsible for managing London's unoccupied Royal palaces (including Hampton Court Palace)
I created the page for the Hampton Water Treatment Works.
Other pages I have added to or amended include:
- Platt's Eyot - another island on the River Thames
- Walter of Saint-Valéry - the Norman lord awarded the Manor of Hampton after the Conquest
- Hampton Railway Station
- John Lancester - a British journalist and novelist
I created 'The Hamptons' template footer (see below) to draw the pages for the Hampton area together.
I would like to record my appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at the libraries of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
