KE (Obiansoama)

The KE people are one of the oldest occupants of the today Niger Delta region of Nigeria. A people of the Ijo/Izon (ijaw) ethnic group.

King Omoniye is one very recognized King of ancient KE kingdom.

According to tales and as written in the Oduma Magazine in the past not too long ago in time.

The people of KE Kingdom (Obiansoama) has it that there was no recorded Migration from any other settlement as it is believed that the land it occupies was discovered by 7 (seven Creating ancestors) among which DA KENI-OPUSO and DA KENI-ALA are predominately recognized.

Until the 1900AD the People of KE KINGDOM where solely Dependent on themself as they are fully indulged in the oil palm trade , to slave trade , local fishing and trade by batter as seen in other neighboring kingdoms.

Some of the early settlers too around the KE KINGDOM includes, KULA , SOKUN, BILE amongst others
