Paolo Zamboni is a former vascular surgeon and professor at the University of Ferrara in northern Italy.
He became internationally known after pioneering a new treatment for Multiple sclerosis. Zamboni began researching MS after his wife was diagnosed with it in 1995. After reviewing studies preformed by researchers he came up with the radical notion that the iron deposits play a role in causing MS. [1]
