I'm an archivist, beginning WebJunction's Wikipedia + Libraries course. I'm interested in learning how the library where I work might make use of Wikipedia to make our unique holdings more discoverable by researchers. I'm also interested in becoming involved with Wikipedia editing, in general.
Conflict of Interest Statement
I am an employee of an academic consortium library, which provides and maintains collections and resources that support the educational and research programs of two universities, one state, the other private. My role at the library is the archivist for the a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and providing access to regional moving image and audio recording heritage. I also serve as the Executive Director of the 501(c)(3) organization.
Additionally, I serve as the Secretary on the Board of Directors of a regional Innocence Project, a non-profit corporation that provides legal, educational, and charitable services to identify and exonerate individuals who have been wrongfully convicted in our state.
I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability.
I do, from time to time, insert links or create articles based on library or archival resources. I also, on occasion, make edits to articles concerning Innocence Project work, and related topics.
I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration.
