Kingdom County are a Eugene, Oregon-based indie folk band, named after a reinterpretation of the county of their youth, King County, Washington. Humphrey and Cervantes, the fixed members, had been writing and performing music together in Redmond and Seattle, Washington since 1993. In 2008 they began recording folk and indie influenced songs, mostly on acoustic instruments, and began performing around Eugene after releasing their debut EP 'Ninja.' Performing mostly original music, the band is also known to play a very eccentric variety of covers.
