Iona Allen was an American expert seamstress who helped develop and create space suits for multiple NASA space mission. She personally constructed Neil Armstrong's boots that he wore when he first walked on the moon, and also worked on later space shuttle suits.[1] She worked on the team at International Latex Corporation, on which the seamstress had ongoing input into the design on the austronauts' suits.[1] The team
