PANDEMIC GEOPARADISING EDUCATION IN THE BUTTOM
With the spread of Pandemic Covid -19 imparting education mostly in rural area has become a tough task for both education institution as well as for parents residing in rural areas. Though Government has introduced mid day meal system along with free distribution of text books, bicycles, school uniform etc to lure the rural kids to Schools, to increase the attendance and to curb the number of school dropouts, but its effort has faced a severe challenge of Covid-19. Education through online mode has become a mockery for a larger section of the school going students particularly in elementary level as they do not have a smart phone of their own or they are deprived of good mobile signal area. Time has come for the Government to look the matter seriously and take necessary steps to provide smart phones to the students of remote area as well as to direct the telecom operators to install signal points in such areas where signals of any mobile operator is available.
