Hoppers - an occasional user, who moved from mere reader to intermittent contributor when he broke his leg, and found himself with idle fingers.
Hoppers has spent far too long in formal education, where he picked up some letters after his name and the early signs of liver disease. Since then, he has been English teacher to the stars, and is currently trying to be one, by pursuing a career in opera.
His interests include literature, opera, church music and fine wine. He owns a corduroy jacket, but likes to think that he wears it only with a healthy sense of post-modern irony. He may be wrong.
There's probably a complex Wikipedia style of user page that I am ignoring. If this is perplexing to you, then the chances are that you are the sort of person who uses the word 'newbie' without any tinge of irony. If so, I am not particularly concerned what you think anyway.
