First of all, welcome to my user page. I have been a long time reader of Wikipedia and decided I would like to contribute. This of course prompted me to join and have started to add, edit, and change things that I thought or knew were wrong or slightly misleading. I'm not going to guarantee everything I write is correct, I make mistakes just like everybody else. My editing and creation skills are still quite amateur, but to my credit I seem to be getting along well enough not to draw much criticism.
Most of my contributions have been automobile oriented because that is what I am most interested in. It is easy to do research and write about things that one is interested in than it is to research and post about subjects I know nothing about and get flamed for it. I don't have a problem throwing out ideas and having other contributors discuss them and sort them out. I believe that is how good ideas are born.
Obviously, my name is not Packard Bob, who ever heard of such a name? It reflects part of a nickname my father gave me when I was younger and my favorite make of automobiles. I don't know where my father came up with Bob, my name isn't even Robert, but the Packard comes from the liking of said brand of Automobiles.
