Two in the blue is a conservation project that seeks to raise awareness of climate change impacts and encourage responsible lifestyles in a changing world www.twointheblue.com. The main aim of the project is to undertake a two year sail-based journey on the yacht Widdershins from Svalbard in the Arctic to the Antarctic Peninsula - the trip will endeavour to showcase local conservation projects and highlight environmental threats. The trip is organised by Dr Patrick Lewis and Leonie Suter. Dr Lewis is author of several scientific publications dealing with environmental threats in high latitudes [1] [2] [3] and previously worked with the International Arctic Programme of WWF www.panda.org/arctic.
