My name is Jasmine Davis, and I am an Australian photographer and luthier. I live in Gosford on the Central Coast of Australia.
I have taken many kinds of photos and my style is moody and clear. I don't portray things as I want them to be, but rather how they really are. And so sometimes the images are dark and inspired, while at other times they seem fixed in time.
I have also taken photos of many people and objects, including still life of cellos and violins. However my favourite model is Asmodelle.
Perhaps my claim to fame is that I am one of very few female Luthiers (Bowed instrument makers) in Australia today. While there are some female violin and cello makers world wide, I do not know of any others in Australia.
My website offers a photo-essay on the process of Cello making - it is one of the best free Cello Making galleries today. It is also very comprehensive and has been proven by many to be the best photo documentation of the entire process of Cello making.
