Kaushal Kishore (author)[1] also known as Satchidananda was born on January 5, 1980. Kaushal Kishore is an Indian author and columnist. He has been serving as the managing editor of the monthly journal Panchayat Sandesh since October 2016. The author of The Holy Ganga, Across The Lines Columnist, and the Ganga Rights activist.

In the teen-age, Kaushal al Kishore came to be known as the young activist in 1999, when he has sustained the fatal attack by a group of people engaged in illegmining at Jagjeetpur village situated on the outskirts of Haridwar. In the 20th century Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya had defined the Ganga Rights of the Hindus during the first world war. He is known to start fasting for the incessant flow of the river at Haridwar. The Bhagirath Point and the Malviya Dweep (this is an island in the river dedicated to him). Kaushal has redefined the Ganga Rights as the birth right for every individual born or bread in the Ganga basin.

Literary Works:

Kaushal Kishore has started as a freelance journalist in June 1998 during the Save Ganga Movement at Haridwar in Uttarakhand. His reports appeared in most of the prestigious newspapers including Amar Ujala, Dainik Jagran, Punjab Kesari, The Hindustan Times, Times of India, The Indian Express, etc. Next year he has also joined Swami Nikhilananda Saraswati and Nigamanand Saraswati in the editorial team of Divine Message, the socio-spiritual quarterly journal (published during that period). After the decade on covering the Ganga and the Himalayas, he has written The Holy Ganga for Rupa & Co. (Now known as Rupa Publication) in 2008.
