UNIVERSITY CAPSTONE PROJECT
Blood Donation Web Service (10/2018 – 10/2019)
Tools: HTML, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, API Frameworks, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Strava, google dev tools.
A web application where users can socially connect with each other and share there blood donation experience and compete with each other by getting ranks respective to their donation activities and integration with Strava which enables the ability to compete with their friends in real-time.
Took advantage of wordpress and integrated my developing tool visual studio directly with the hosted website so i can edit it in real-time.
Created web-hooks to generate an API which i used to convert it in a database to keep a track of important or required information.
API formed using the web hooks helped to generate an account in Strava or other way around and thats how I achieved integration with Starava.
Integrated the website with Australian Red Cross to get all the blogs and newsletters to motivate users.
Giving interface to STRAVA will provide a social fitness network.
Connected google maps with the bloodbook app via generating API key from google dev tools.
Combining GIS technology with web service will add feature to gather location details.
Result: Achieved Distinction for the project with polishing skills I used for it.
