A tracelet is a device worn around one’s wrist that is used for the purpose of contact tracing during an epidemic. In the event a person in a group using tracelets tests positive for a disease, a computer system to which the tracelets are linked can be checked to determine who was near the subject for a period long enough to spread the disease and therefore who to test and isolate.
