Paul Witty[1] has been a regular on the Australian music scene since the early 90’s performing both original and cover material. He graduated from La Trobe University in 1995 with a major in Music and a Diploma In Education.
One of Paul’s most recognised musical achievements to date saw him playing the part of ‘Ace Frehley’ in Australia’s premier Kiss tribute act, ‘Disstroyer – the Australian Kiss Show’. The band toured extensively through the Southern Hemisphere between 1995 and 2005, and were personally asked by Kiss to tour with them during the Australian leg of their 1995/96 ‘Kiss Convention’ tour.
Paul played lead guitar with Melbourne Indie-Pop band ‘Tank’, who released their critically acclaimed self-titled ep in 2000. The single ‘Start again’ received steady rotation on Triple J as well regular appearances in ‘The Oz Music Show’ on Triple M. The band secured several lucrative publishing deals in the US and had steady rotation on College radio for the following 2 years.
In recent times Paul has been involved in production work, both audio and video, and has played sessions with various cover and original acts around Melbourne. Paul has also been the Director Of Music at Albert Park College since the beginning of 2004.
Paul currently displays his unique guitar wizardry at 'Draculas Cabaret Restaurant', Melbourne Australia, in a flamboyant portrayal of showmanship that has to be seen as much as heard.
