"The Process"

Start here

1. At the top right of any/all WP pages, shift-click on "Preferences". This will usually come up showing the "User profile" tab. If not, click in the "User profile" tab.
2. In the middle of that page is "Number of edits:". Make a note of that number - I'll refer to that number as "X". If "X" > 16,000, continue with next step. If not, click here to go to #Section B (or just roll your mouse down the page).
3. Shift-Click on WP:NOE. On this new page, type Ctrl-F, enter your username, and hit enter. It will tell you how many usernames match what you entered. Step through them until you find yourself. (No, this is not an existential experience) If you don't find yourself, click here to go to #Section B (or just roll your mouse down the page).
4. Make a note of your rank (Column 1) and "Y", your number-of-edits (Column 3).
5. Click here: Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits#List to find out when this page was created.
6. Roll down / use Ctrl-F to find other data that interests you. (Make a note of what interests you.)

For example: (Currently), I look at:

i) #people with Edit count > 1,000,000

ii) #people with Edit count > 100,000

iii) The number of edits by person ranked #1,000

iv) #people with Edit count > 40,000

v) Etc., as takes your fancy.

• STOP / END / EXIT.

Section B

• If X < 17,000, you probably won't appear on WP:NOE. Have a look on: Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits/5001–10000
• If X < 8,000, you probably won't appear here, either
• If X > 8,000 and you still haven't found yourself: ...
