Hello, I am a female born in 1999. I was born in Mexico City, and moved to the Pacific Northwest at the age of eight. I have a variety of interests, among them is dance and languages. I like to take a couple of dance classes every now and then, I also truly enjoy learning new languages and the cultures attached to them.

One of the my interests than can be related to Wikipedia is language and culture. I believe that if I were to continue to use my Wikipedia account beyond this class, it would be for something related to a specific language and or culture.

Article Evaluation

edit

I am a big fan of tea, similar to how many people are fans of coffee and, I like to think that I have a pretty good amount of knowledge when it comes to tea. However, I am not that knowledgeable about one of my favorite tea stores. I visited the David’s Tea page on Wikipedia and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: location, history, and product.

Location

edit

The page has a lack of detail in terms of the locations. We are told that there is a total of 240 stores across Canada and the United States. However, in the United States there are stores only located in New York, California, and a single store in Washington. The way they phrase it makes it seem that there are more stores more spread out in the US than there actually is.

History

edit

One thing this page was really good at, was keeping up with the history of the company. Specifically, who owned the company at any particular time. Although, more facts could have been added in terms of how the company was doing as a whole, such as financial success, failure, and or struggle.

Product

edit

The page could benefit from providing more information about the products offered by the company. It would be good if a price range could be provided, as well as what kind of teas they specialize in. From experience, and what I have been able to gather from their website, David’s Teas tends to specialize in more no traditional teas. They carry a lot of new and interesting flavors, such as Rose all day and Honey Prosecco, which are meant to taste like their alcoholic namesake.

Summary

edit

Overall, I feel that this page did pretty good considering the size of the company. It is quite understandable that the page is not as developed as others like the page on Starbucks. However, more information could be provided in terms of locations, history, as well as the products offered by this company.
