Korean American actor Peter Kim (aka Peter Y. Kim) continues to skillfully navigate the entertainment industry as a multifaceted artist, dominating audiences with his scene-stealing roles, while also challenging himself as a producer, director and teacher.

Peter can currently be seen in the Netflix critically acclaimed film produced by Lena Waithe, The Forty-Year-Old Version, opposite writer-producer-director-star Radha Blank. With Blank starring as a fictionalized version of herself, the film focuses on a once-promising playwright nearing the age of 40 as she tries to come to terms with her own unfulfilled professional accomplishments. Peter portrays her witty longtime best friend and agent, ‘Archie’, who will go to great lengths to ensure his client can showcase her work.

On Stage, Peter most recently starred in Wild Goose Dreams at The Public Theater and has appeared on Broadway in the Tony winning musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie. He has originated roles in numerous world and New York premieres of plays Off-Broadway and regionally, in addition to co-creating the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway comedy, SIDES: The Fear is Real.

Peter is the recipient of the 2020 Rising Leaders of Color grant from the Theatre Communications Group (TCG) and a Steering Committee Member of the OBIE-winning grassroots organization, Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC). In addition, he serves as an Associate Producer of the National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO), which has received OBIE Awards as well as Drama League and Drama Desk Award nominations. To round out his performing and producing successes, Peter is also a Lecturer in Theater at Princeton University.

Other notable film credits include: The God Committee opposite Kelsey Grammer and Julia Stiles; the coming-of-age musical Saturday Church which won the Audience Award at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival; the Lionsgate thriller Margin Call from director-writer J.C. Chandor; the iconic romantic comedy Sex and the City opposite Sarah Jessica Parker; and the crime drama Hackers opposite Angelina Jolie. Other notable television credits include: the NBC medical drama Chicago Med; the beloved ABC comedy Ugly Betty; and the NBC legal drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Peter holds an MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama and a BFA from New York University.
