Professionally, I'm a managing editor of Food Product Design and the editor of CULINOLOGY magazine. For many years, I've worked in food and agricultural publishing as a writer and editor for books, magazines and websites. I also worked as a cook and kitchen manager (Yes! Alfano's breadsticks!) while earning my B.A. from Purdue University in Professional and Creative Writing (early '90s...). I'm a former editor of The Growing Edge (http://www.growingedge.com), a magazine based on sustainable agriculture with a bit of a sophisticated hobbyist bent. Many years ago, I also worked for PIL in Lincolnwood, IL, as have many of the other Chicagoland publishing minions. I write poetry and am working on a novel.
