Current situation

The current economic crisis, climate change or environmental awareness that is beginning to emerge in most developed countries, are factors that could affect directly to buildings planned in the coming years.

Localization

The climate is a determinant factor in the process of building design. The localization of the buildings is important in relation with the climate. The opposite example is found in Venezuela, some tribes as the Hotï build houses build by vegetal materials called Churuata, (the name comes from the rectangular base), the use of this kind of materials is due to they build it for recollection and then they leave them, the use of this materials also responds to the climate, the region has an annual media temperature very high, so the protection in this sense is not important.

Environment

More than social or economic problems, the environment should be very important and sometimes a decisive key for building design or urban development. Advances societies are starting to have an environmental awareness should be paramount in the daily lives of citizens in isolated regions and with low energy resources as islands. There are many initiatives that support an environmentally responsible and supportive construction, for example, minimizing the consumption of heating or air conditioning. Some of these regions have a lot of problems to obtain energy sources in that cases, depending on the localization, a good option is to use
