About Me

I am a student at Everett Community College, and I live in the Pacific Northwest. On my free time I like to play video games including Valorant, Apex Legends, and Bloons TD 6. When I get the chance, I like to read dystopian/adventure fiction books, but I have never written anything myself. I love to listen to music when I can, the genres I listen to the most are hip-hop, pop, rock, and lo-fi; listening to music actually has many benefits including reducing anxiety, and improving overall quality of life. I'm interested in majoring in computer science, and plan on becoming a software engineer in the future.

My Wikipedia interests

If I do plan on editing any Wikipedia articles in the future, it would be on lesser known single-player games, music artist, small authors, and making minor edits to others articles.

Article Evaluation

I've been interested in video games for a large part of my life; I have played a variety of different types of games and I would like Wikipedia's articles of the lesser known types of games to be as useful to others as possible. I visited the Tower Defense article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Age, Completeness, and Neutrality.

Age

The last time the page was edited was on September 8, 2022, but I have noticed that many of the sources that the article includes are out-of-date; for example, one of the older links goes to an article from 2008 using the WayBack Machine. I know that these links are old, but they show that tower defense games have come a long way and still provide useful information about tower defense games.

Completeness

I noticed that even though this article is not very long, it includes a lot of information and does not leave that much out. The main topics include: history, gameplay, and USPTO trademark. The history section of the article is dense with information about multiple topics of tower defense games. The gameplay section explains the basic elements of how the game is played and explains how tower defense games are different from other strategy games. Finally, the USPTO trademark section is a small section explaining the trademark for the term "Tower Defense."

Neutrality

The article is neutral and it's purpose is to present information about tower defense games. There are no bias claims included in the article.

Conclusion

Overall, I think that this page is good. All of the information is relevant to the subject and there are many different sources used. The main problem with this article is that many of the sources that are used are outdated, other than that there are no big issues. There is a lot of information on the background and history of tower defense games and the article presents it well.
