Born in 1962 in Kolkata. Invited to join Rotary Club of Vasco da gama in 1993 by Rtn. Atul Jadhav. Classification: Lighterage Operations (Barges operating in Goa, Maharashtra & Gujarat) Served as Club Director in 1995-96 to 1997-98. Club Secretary in 1998-99. As International service director in 1999-2000 got the first WCS of RC Vasco da gama (Aid to Ashadeep school from RC Lindum-Lincoln, UK) Launched RC Vasco's first website on 1st July 2000

Started District Communication platform in 2000 and since then a strong proponent of Use of New Technology. Club President in 2001-02 Founder Settler of Rotary Clubs of Goa Trust forSAVING LIVES a project with RC Birmingham, UK. DCC / Governor's Aide for over 7 years. Part of District Training Team since 2003-04. Rotarian of the Year at RC Vasco da gama in 2000-01 and 2004-05. As Club TRF Chair 2008-09 raised over $18,000 (more than last 10 years total of the club)-

Outstanding Rotarian of the Year District 3170 in 2008-09. Recipient of 'Rotary Foundation District Service Award' in 2002 & 2009. District Governor's representative for 3 Charter Day celebrations

Attended Rotary meetings in 7 countries and the Centennial RI Convention at Birmingham. The Sustainability Trust is an initiative by 11 Clubs from 5 countries for CO2 Offset projects. Enjoys helping clubs with Matching Grants, not just clubs in India but also for Clubs outside India. Have assisted clubs for more than 20 projects till date. Registered as Rotary Volunteer for Disaster & low-cost Project Management
