editKuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) is a Kuwaiti shareholding company incorporated pursuant to the Amiri Decree No.187 on 22 July,2008,to operate and manage with the third GSM versatile system in Kuwait accordingto Law No.2 of 2007 Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) ,a leading brand in the telecommunications industry,was established in December 2008 as a subsidiary of stc Group,the world-class digital leader,providing innovative services and platforms,and enabling the digital transformation of the region.With a share capital of KD 50 million, stc was listed on Boursa Kuwait in December 2014.In 2019, stc fully acquired Qualitynet General Trading and Contracting Company-the leading Internet Service Provider in Kuwait – with the aim to capitalize on the new opportunities in the Kuwaiti Telecom Market. Driven by its corporate strategy of expanding its activities with a focus on the digital as well as advanced integrated communications solutions and advanced technical solutions services, stc fully acquired e-portal Holding Company – the leading ICT services provider in Kuwait – early 2022. In April 2022, stc also increased its share capital to reach KD 99.9 million through distributing 100%bonus shares to its shareholders.
