Try Publications is a division of Professional Drum Shop Inc. located in Hollywood California USA. It was founded in 1963 by Professional Drum Shop owner Robert Thomas Yeager. Try Publications was formed by the acquisitions of a few publications from Swinghouse publications in Hollywood and just recently purchased Mitchell Peters Publications in September 2009. The name "Try" comes from Robert's great sense of humor "Terrible Robert Yeager". Most noted publications would be the Lennie Niehaus jazz conception for saxophone series and the famous "Yellow After the Rain" marimba composition by Mitchell Peters. A few of the Try Pub. autors include jazz drummer greats Jake Hanna, Louie Bellson, Chuck Flores and Victor Feldman.
