Jessica Buie
editJessica Buie (born 1991) is an American photographer and collage artist based in Austin, Texas and New York City. Her work focuses heavily on the visual and textual languages of gender and desire in the cultural canon of mainstream photography. [1]
Early life and education
editBuie was born in San Antonio, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 2013. Subsequently, she moved to San Diego, California to pursue her Masters of Fine Arts degree which she received in 2018. [2]
Career
editIn 2019, work from Buie's series Exposure was featured in and used as the cover for Press & Fold Magazine Issue #1.[3]
