The Gas Agility is the world largest LNG bunkering vessel. The Gas Agility is equipped with GTT’s(Gaztransport & Technigaz) Mark III Flex membrane containment system built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co.,Ltd in China near Shanghai. It is also fitted with innovative tank technologies such as the complete reliquefaction of boil-off gas to achieve zero vaporised gas loss. Gas Agility is owned by EGML(Emerald Green Maritime Limited), a wholly owned subsidiary of MOL(Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.), and chartered by Total's affiliate Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions (TMFGS). Construction started in China in November 2018 at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding’s yard and delivered in April 2020. The vessel will operate in Northern Europe where it will supply LNG to commercial ships including CMA CGM’s nine ultra large container vessels (ULCVs) for a period of at least ten years.

The first LNG bunkering vessel to be based in France was officially named Gas Vitality in a ceremony held October 26 at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, China. Following the signing of a long-term charter contract in November 2019, the 18,600-cubic-meter bunkering vessel is the second to be built at the shipyard in a cooperation with TotalEnergies Marine Fuels and shipowner MOL(Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd). All three parties first collaborated in 2018 to design and build sister ship Gas Agility, which has been operating in the Port of Rotterdam since November 2020 Gas Vitality was delivered at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding on October 31, 2021 and chartered to TotalEnergies Marine Fuels and is scheduled to enter operational service in December 2021 and be based in the Port of Marseille-Fos, to serve the Mediterranean region. It first contracts will be to perform LNG bunkering services to |CMA CGMs]] LNG-fuelled containerships and MSC Cruises’upcoming LNG-powered cruise ships that call at the French port.
