My Changes: Iris Johansen left her job as an airline reservations agent in the early 1980s to begin writing romance novels.[2] She then decided to turn to historical romantic suspense in the early 1990s starting with her novel The Wind Dancer, before she found herself settling in the genre of crime fiction with her first thriller Ugly Duckling published in 1996.[3] She has written in multiple genres to which some have landed her on the New York Times bestseller’s list.[4]

Film Adaptation
editIn 2011, the second novel in Johansen's Eve Duncan series was made in to a Lifetime film adaptation, The Killing Game (2011 film), starring Laura Prepon as forensic sculptor Eve Duncan. This film adaptation was directed by Bobby Roth.[14]
