Welfare Association Established in Geneva in 1983 to support Palestinian society in sustainable development, the Welfare Association (WA) is a Palestinian non-governmental development organization. It is dedicated to preserving Palestinian heritage and identity, supporting living culture and building civil society. Welfare Association is a private, non-profit foundation . It has become better known in Palestine and the Arab region by its Arabic name, Ta'awoun, meaning “cooperation.

WA beneficiaries include the 4 million Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Galilee, Jaffa, Akka, Nazareth and Naqab, as well as in refugee camps in Lebanon.

The Welfare Association was sponsored by as a Christmas Charity by The Independent in 2006.
