[1]T.K NARAYANAN
T.K. Narayanan was an eminent orator, a social reformer , a journalist and an Editor. He lived during the time of Sree Narayana Guru the greatest social reformer of India. Guru belonged to an Ezhava family in an era when people from such communities, were regarded as subaltern , faced much social injustice in the caste-ridden society of Kerala. He, rejected casteism ,led a reform movement in Kerala against untouchability, and promoted new values of spiritual freedom and social equality. He stressed the need for the spiritual and social uplift of the downtrodden by their own efforts through the establishment of temples and educational institutions. In the process, he denounced the superstitions that clouded the fundamental Hindu cultural convention of caste.
The aforesaid editor T.K. Narayanan was very active in social reform movement in Kerala and was also a true disciple of the Great Guru. In 1915 T.K. Narayanan started a newspaper titled Desabhimani and he became the founder editor of the samr. In 1921 T.K. Narayanan published a biography of Sree Narayana Guru which was first in its kind, ever before poet Kumaran Asan and subsequent writers followed suit.
In the prologue of the biography Editor T.K. Narayanan wrote that he had also written a biography of Sri. Vivekananda Swamikal in 1911. He also accentuated that no one else had ever published such a biography of Guru in between the year 1911 and 1921 except him. The editor viewed unparallel sanctity in his Guru much more than swami Vivekanada .
Mr.K.N BAL is the youngest son of Editor , T.K. Narayanan who was in the Indian Police Service. He had been medaled by the President of India for his meritorious services. Mr.Bal IPS is in search of both the two biographies written by his great father which is unfortunately out of print now. He appeals to the readers to show him a copy of the books if possible and invites healthy debate on his fathers view on the greater sanctity of Guru than Swami Vivekanada with out bringing any controversy
