Oakville Family Ribfest is the name of an annual ribfest food festival held at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. [1] The Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar (RCOT) organizes the three-day long Ribfest to raise money for charity. This free admission event has live entertainment and KidZone activites[2]. This non profit volunteer run ribfest is the largest annual public event in Oakville with attendance of more then 30,000 visitors.[3]
Charitable fundraising
editAll the Ribfest proceeds go to support local Rotary projects, student bursaries and community charities, as well as international works such as polio vaccinations, wells to provide clean water and mosquito nets to prevent the spread of malaria.[4]
