Yogita Chavan

Yogita Chavan is a Indian film actor primarily working in the Marathi film industry. She is know for Marathi films like Gavthi (2018) & Shiva (2019), Marathi TV shows like Navri Mile Navryala (2019) & Baapmanus (2018) and the Marathi stage show Marathi Bana & a Gujarati play Andhado Paato. She was also the 1st runner up of Maharashtra Times Shravan Queen 2016.

Early Life

Yogita was born in Thane, Maharashtra on 9th March 1994 to Dattatray & Vidyadevi Chavan. She is the youngest of the 4 siblings. She has 2 elder sisters & 1 elder brother. She completed her schooling from SBM Padwal Vidyalaya in Thane. Further she went on to do her graduation in B.Com from the prestigious S. K. Somaiya College in Mumbai. She was interested in dance & acting since her childhood. Reading poetries & novels, Home Gardening, Meditation, Dancing, Watching Movies & Travelling are some of her hobbies.

Film & TV Career

Yogita started out in the film industry as a background dancer under ace choreographer Saroj Khan & Geeta Kapoor. Her first stage appearance was in the popular theater show Marathi Bana in 2012 directed by Ashok Hande. She was the 1st runner up of Maharashtra Times Shravan Queen 2016. From there on she has acted in popular Marathi television shows like Jadubai Jorat (2017 / Zee Marathi), Baapmanus (2018 / Zee Yuva) & Navari mile Navaryala (2019 / Sony Marathi).

Her debut Marathi film was Gavthi (2018) followed by Shiva (2019); along with special appearance in 2 other Marathi films.

She has also acted in a Gujarati play Andhado Paato, directed by Anil Kakade.
