The Battle of Gjynoqari (now gjinar) was a battle fought on 18 June 1943 during World War II, between Albanian forces under the command of Hysni Lepenica against Italian forces in Albania.

Italian forces consisting of a regiment attempt to carry out a new operation in the area of Mallakastra. Local nationalist squads rush there to confront the enemy. The Vlora detachment, under the command of Hysni Lepenica, went to help the local nationalist forces. The Italians first occupy and burn three villages and advance towards Gjinoqari, where they encounter strong resistance and retreat in disorientation, suffering heavy losses.
