Koh Kradan[1] (Thai: เกาะกระดาน) is an island in Trang province, Southern Thailand. Koh Kradan is one of the most exquisite islands in Trang. Koh Kradan has white sandy beach and transparent water which allow us to see the coral reef clearly. Most of Koh Kradan is under controlled of Hat Chao Mai National Park[2]. The rest is controlled privately owned.
Geography
editKoh Kradan is named from its shape which looks like an oblong shape. Koh Kradan has the area approximately 600 acres or 2.4 square kilometers[3]. It is located about 10 kilometers far from the southeast Thailand coast.
Beach division
edit• Koh Kradan Beach: It is located on the east of the island. The beach is about 2 kilometers long. Most of tourist prefer to snorkel and swim on this beach. From the beach, you can see Koh Libong, Koh Whan, Koh Mook, and Koh Cherg.
• Ao Niang Beach: It is located on the south of the island. The beach is about 800 meters long. Most of tourist also prefer to snorkel on this beach. From the beach, you can see Koh Libong.
• Ao Pai Beach: It is located on the north of the island. The beach is about 200 meters long. There is no coral reef in beach. From the beach, you can see Koh Cherg, Koh Whan, and Koh Mook.
• Ao Chong Lom Beach: It is located on the west of the island. The beach is about 800 meters long. Most of tourist called this beach as a sunset beach because of its remarkably charming sunset.
