It's clear Wikipedia will eventually devolve into a lot of bias and misinformation. The policies are idiotic, and I've needlessly wasted ridiculous amounts of time. And even trying to come back in a small way (the Shadow Wiki remains...), I kept hitting unnecessary and nonsensical bureaucratic roadblocks.
Citizendium seems to be the only hope for a higher quality wiki, one that is clearly without the gaping flaws of WP. How ironic that it is run by the WP founder that dare not speak his name...
XBurst
editXBurst may be my favorite article, ever. It redirects to ARM architecture, even though it seems to be painfully obvious to 99% of the world that XBurst is a MIPS architecture core. As sad as that is, it wasn't created by some ignorant newbie. No, that was none other than Mr. Wikimedia UK: User:David Gerard. I guess the few chosen "adults" on WP simply aren't very reliable. Why oh why does such flagrant human stupidity still persist? (Aug 5, 2008)
My Contribs (final)
editMainly a list for my own future reference...
- Created/Wrote entirely from scratch MPEG-1, TooLAME.
- Researched and cited all sources in the articles, and largely rewrote Video CD, MPEG Multichannel and to a lesser extent, Theora and SVCD.
- Lots of work on Zinf, DVD Player, Citrix Systems, NX technology and more.
