I'm Rebecca Roper. I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of Glasgow studying Technical Art History.
Bio
editI did my undergraduate degree at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, USA, studying history, art history, and archaeology. My undergraduate dissertation was on the history and evolution of Peter Pan. I also studied at the University of York for a year, studying archaeology and medieval history.
Glasgow
editI am pursuing a Masters in Technical Art History at the University of Glasgow.[1] Currently I am working on several projects, including:
- My dissertation, which is work on a sixteenth-century gilded and painted cabinet
- Work placement at Glasgow Museums working on cataloguing the Jessie M. King collection
- Authenticating two watercolours potentially by Charles Rennie Mackintosh
- Lab workshops creating historic pigments and painting reconstructions
Interests
editI enjoy topics related to material culture, history, archaeology, art, art history. I also am very fond of pizza and cats.
