Nerf/foam darts

This article is about Nerf/Foam darts, for other uses see the toy, Nerf Blaster/Gun or the brand, Nerf or the game, Nerf War.

Nerf darts are used for the different Nerf blasters playing the role of the bullet. They are also called ‘nerfs’.[1] They have been known to lead to serious eye injuries, with doctors recommending to wear goggles for protection during the game.[2]

Types of Nerf Darts

Elite Nerf Darts

These darts are used for Elite Nerf guns and are usually orange on the tip, the foam is dark blue and are 2.89 inches long, weigh 1.02 grams and their distance of their range is 28 feet, 6 inches.

 
Elite Nerf Darts

Mega Nerf Darts

These darts are used for Mega Nerf guns and are usually orange on the tip, red on the foam and are 3.65 inches long, they weigh 2.50 grams and their distance range is 24 feet and 3 inches long.

Nerf Suction Darts

These darts can be used in the N-Strike Nerf guns, Dart Tag Nerf guns and all N-Strike Elite Nerf guns. It's length is 2.85 inches, it weighs 1.27 grams and shoots as far as 24 feet, 7 inches.

 
Nerf BuzzBee Darts

Micro Darts

Micro darts are used for many Nerf guns especially MicroShot Nerf guns so they are smaller than all the other darts, and have lots of varieties of colors which of all do the same, just look different.

Buzzbee Darts

BuzzBee darts have a suction head, their length is 2.63 inches, weigh 1.50 grams and maximum distance range is 22 feet, 5 inches.

BuzzBee Extreme Darts

This is a type of BuzzBee dart but are "extreme", their length is 2.65 inches, weighs 1.67 grams and their approximate distance range is 21 feet, 3 inches.

Nerf Clip System Darts (Nerf Streamline Darts)

Nerf Clip System Darts are used for the Mega Nerf guns and are 2.85 inches long, weigh 1.30 grams and their distance range is about 27 feet, 9 inches.

Nerf Zombie Strike Darts

These darts are for Zombie Strike blasters and are light green on the foam, dark green on the tip, sometimes have a zombie skull drawn on them, their length is 2.85 inches, weigh 1 gram and their approximate distance range is 28 feet, 8 inches.

Nerf Rival Soft Foam Balls/Rounds

Rival balls do not look like usual Nerf darts, they look like yellow (usually) balls made out of soft/hard foam and were stopped making because the balls hurt some people and were not safe.

 
X-Shot Excel Darts

X-Shot Excel Darts

These darts are used for Zuru X-Shot Excel Nerf guns and not made by the brand 'Hasbro'. They are usually dark grey on the foam, light blue on the tip or can be yellow on the tip, if you want the old X-Shot darts, their length is 2.68 inches, weigh 0.85 grams, fly 36 feet, 1 inch.

Primetime SuperDart

These darts are used for Dart Zone and Adventure Force blasters, it's length is 2.62 inches, it weighs 0.88 grams and it's maximum range is 27 feet, 6 inches.

Nerf Ultra Dart

Ultra darts are the farthest flying Nerf darts ever.[3]Ultra darts are constructed from a lightweight foam that is notably different than other darts in that they are made with closed cell, rather than open cell foam. This construction allows for fins to be molded into the rear of the darts. Ultra darts are between N-Strike Elite darts and Mega darts in diameter, but shorter than both in length.
