Hon. Remy Shittu is a rising politician currently operating at the local government level.
He was the Chief Executive Officer at IGIT International Limited between 2013 and 2017. A company that specializes in printing and office supplies.
His quest for quality, impactful and exemplary leadership and representation, authentic government of the people by the people, led him into politics where he chose to start at the grassroots level in order to be truly involved in the lives of his people thereby impacting his community. This he believes, is where the true change the nation yarns for, begins.
He was elected as the Councilor representing Apena Ward in Isolo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State in the local government elections of 2017.
His six colleagues at Isolo LCDA elected him as Leader of The Council (Speaker) in Isolo LCDA on shortly thereafter.
As a mark of his rising profile, in January 2018, the 377 Councilors in Lagos State elected him as the Deputy Chairman of the Lagos State Councilors Forum.
Tangible development at community level remains the true passion of Hon. Remy Shittu’s heart and he has influenced many of such projects within his capacity.
In October 2018 he was nominated on the International Visitor Leadership Program to participate in the US Electoral Process – Midterm elections. A project sponsored by the US Department of State.
While in the United States, Mr. Remy Shittu learnt about the US electoral process, observed US approach to political campaigns, recruiting volunteers, monitoring public opinion polls, fundraising, and managing public campaigns. He hopes to replicate the knowledge gained in the Nigerian Electoral Process.
Hon. Remy Shittu has a Master degree in Business Administration from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria.
