Reverend Tony Ponticello is a cofounder of Community Miracles Center (CMC) located in San Francisco, California. He is an A Course In Miracles (ACIM) teacher, counselor and author. He maintains a strong internet presence and speaks regularly at A Course In Miracles conferences. His work is focused primarily at the San Francisco, California CMC where he speaks every other week.
His writings appear regularly in Miracles Monthly, a 16 page monthly publication for ACIM students for which he also serves as an editor. He does telephone, and web cam counseling as a "pastoral counselor." He is known for his profound, but humorous, approach to the high level, metaphysical teachings of A Course In Miracles. He is a skilled organizer and networker and maintains good, working relationships with most in the ACIM teaching field whom he considers "colleagues." He has organized large ACIM conferences together with his CMC cofounder and teaching partner Rev. Larry Bedini and a new conference in February of 2007 is in the planning stages.
He is also known for freely talking about sex and sexuality in relationship to body and spiritual paradigms. He is openly bisexual and polyamorous, literally embracing the teaching from A Course In Miracles, "You cannot enter into real relationships with any of God's Sons unless you love them all and equally. Love is not special. If you single out part of the Sonship for your love, you are imposing guilt on all your relationships and making them unreal." (T-13.X.11.1-3)
While sometimes considered outspoken and controversial he is mostly loved and highly thought of in ACIM circles, especially for his long time dedication to ACIM and for his community building work.
