Varsity 747 was born Amir Ali in Toronto, Ontario. Varsity grew up in the Eastend of Toronto, known as "Scarborough". He started gaining an interest in rap music and hip-hop at a young age, as he rapped in front of his friends in high school. His favorite artist is chicago rapper, Chief Keef, saying that he was his biggest influence to start a rap career.


Career

Varsity music career started in 2020, uploading his first song and music video “Make It Happen”. He started gaining Toronto attention but his second song "Passion" is what blew him up on American level. Has began to release songs with music videos every month and started forming a fanbase. His song "Passion rose to 1.2 Million views in 7 months and 600K+ streams on spotify. Banks founded 747 Inc, a record label based in Toronto. The record label showcases young and upcoming artists from around the world.

Style | Varsity style of rapping has been compared to the New York rapper, Lil Tjay, incorporating rapping and singing while having a very distinct voice. He mostly raps about motivation and struggle with a few love songs here and there. He is very melodic.
