Jimmy Hayes (born November 21,1989), is an American ice hockey forward from Dorchester, Maryland. Hayes played junior hockey with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program of the North American Hockey League before committing to Boston College in the Hockey East Association conference. He was drafted 60th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. At the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for their 43rd overall pick. Shortly after, the team selected his younger brother Kevin Hayes in the first round. After completing his junior of college, Jimmy Hayes signed a professional contract with the Blackhawks and now plays for the Rockford IceHogs, their American Hockey League affiliate.
