Biography
editI am currently doing my editing under Rober1236Jua
I would also point out that in 2006 I made a very impassioned plea for less deletions in Wikipedia. I would take this opportunity to say I was correct, and I am happy to see so many admins following Jimmy and reducing the knee jerk level of deletions. The ability of Wiki admins to bring this behaviour under control saved Wikipedia and proved Open Community an work better than owned community.
I was born in a place called Round Lake in the state of Illinois. I moved to Chicago in my early 20s where I worked at the Institute for Learning Sciences under the less than inspired leadership of Roger Schank. During this time I knew Jorn Barger fairly well but we had a falling out. I do pride myself on when Roger was trying to remove Jorn from ILS I refused to provide information about him. This may have cost me the opportunity to get a useless PhD in AI.
Most of my career since that time has been in Internet development, starting from Adobe and HTML and working to Enterprise solutons and recently to working in blogging as a publishing model using a Web2.0 Google ads, but I won't quit my day job any time soon.
I am not interesting enough to be in Wikipedia, but I have aimed at adding people I have known who deserve recognition, and to making small contributions where I can, though I am often rightfully deleted.
Sadly I have given up on adding individuals and groups I know because of the extreme level of insults that many admins take towards posts about private individuals, socail workers, and smaller groups engaged in significant activity.
I also have areas of interest in the Internets Underground history and also the history of Tunisia.
