Diacritics in category sort order and DEFAULTSORT
Hi, thanks for your message. SmackBot and other WP:AWB robots and users change the diacritics in category sorting (including "DEFAULTSORT") to non-diacritics. This does not affect the name shown in the category, just the sort order. This is the accepted way to sort items in Wikipedia. Regards, ~~~
