  • Gunson's Sortex Ltd of London, EC3, for export achievement and, for technological innovation in electronic colour sorting equipment.
  • Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd of London, SW1, for export achievement by the Pharmaceuticals Division, Macclesfield, Cheshire, and, for technological innovation in the synthesis and manufacture of herbicides by the Mond Division, Runcorn, Cheshire, and the Dyestuffs Division, Manchester.
  • Martin-Baker Aircraft Co. Ltd of Higher Denham, Buckinghamshire, for export achievement and, for technological innovation in ejection seats for aircraft.
  • Optical Measuring Tools Ltd of Maidenhead, Berkshire, for export achievement and, for technological innovation in the production of high-precision optical scales by a photographic process.
