Hello fellow Wikipedians. I am EXTREMELY NEW, with very old school (like 1980s and 1990s), thus out of date computer literacy, or more accurately out of date computer media/internet literacy; I can code in C and several other languages and know more than a little about OSes and coding. Please go easy on me and at the same time don't hesitate to correct or redirect me. I've been a long time enthusiast and supporter of Wikipedia, donate to Wikimedia Foundation, and decided to jump in and learn, and to contribute and participate.

One of my interests/concerns is the great discrepancy between articles that seem like they should be much more similar to one another - for example the articles on Jupiter and Saturn: The first section after the introduction to Jupiter is "Formation and Migration" while the first section following the introduction to Saturn is "Physical Characteristics." I'm not saying either is better than the other or that one or both are lacking (tho' those statements could be supported), but that their inconsistency is unhelpful.

Anyhow I'm not sure how to get started, and I'm sure I don't have enough experience yet to work on this critique I've presented here, but I'd like to learn and develop the experience and skills to one day address it. At present I'm not even sure whether I'm creating my user page properly. Like I said, I'm EXTREMELY NEW and I'd like to contribute to Wikipedia in a meaningful and helpful way.

I invite any feedback, guidance, or direction.
