Overview and Background
J.WAIL is an american electronica funk band formed in 2005. The band provides a modern take on funk by combining electronic sounds with live drums, guitar, vocals and synthesizers. [1] J.WAIL was founded by producer and guitarist Jonah Lipsky. Jonah produces all of the music and writes all of the lyrics for the music. Currently J.WAIL resides in Boulder, CO, but tours all around the Unites States and plans to tour in Europe for the summer of 2013.
Discography
J.WAIL's first album is entitled "New Conglomerations from Space" (2005). [2] The band's next album, Sledgepopper, was released on March 29 2009. In 2012 J.WAIL produced its latest album entitled Lazers n Flowers. [3]
Tours

Soon after, in 2006, J.WAIL engaged in the national "Funktronica Freshness Tour".[5] After this tour, the band gained some national attention and recognition. J.WAIL went on a winter tour called "Keep That Booty Warm Tour" and then again did the "Subliminal Booty Tour" in the summer of 2007. The "Subliminal Booty Tour" had eighty concert dates in a myriad of states across America including Alaska [6]. J.WAIL followed Phish when they were on tour in 2009. They performed in the parking lot after every show using a portable generator and stage. [7] In the very same year, J.WAIl embarked on another tour around the nation, entitling this one the "Tour de Bliss". [8] After their first album, Lazers n Flowers, J.WAIL commenced their 2012 "Colorphorms Tour". [9] J.WAIL has toured in every state in the United States (except for Hawaii) and Puerto Rico. J.WAIL has performed at various concerts and festivals with some very prominent musical artists such as : Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Lotus, Perpetual Groove, and DJ Le Spam & the Spam Allstars. [10]
Members
Originally, the band was made up of only one man named Jonah Lipsky (lead guitar/bass/vocals/keyboard/producer). Recently though, Mr. Lipsky has added to J.WAIl a rotating cast of drummers including aNdu and Chuck Morris from Lotus. J.WAIL has also worked with artists such as: Rikkochet, Michael Travis and Jason Hann from EOTO and String Cheese Incident, Dean Ween, Brock Butler from Perpetual Groove, Tom Constanten from the Grateful Dead, Clay Parnell from Brothers Past, members of the Brazilian Girls.
