Robert Mirshak is President and Founder of Mirshak Artists Management, the artist management agency based in New York City and Los Angeles. He is an advocate for ethics in the music business, and represents international artists on a roster comprised mainly of singers, but also of stage directors and conductors.
An active participant on the speaker’s circuit, he was a featured lecturer at the National Convention for the National Association of the Teachers of Singers, as well as the Opera in America convention where he spoke of "Ethics in the Business of Singing.” He has also worked with young artists programs across the United States, and is a frequent vocal competition adjudicator.
Dr. Mirshak received his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he was a student of Professor George Shirley. As a professional singer, Dr. Mirshak performed recitals around the world, and sang with several regional opera companies. As a teacher, he was a member of the voice faculty at Southwest Missouri State University, Albion College, and Central Michigan University, and coached students privately at his studio in New York City. As an artist manager he was employed by Columbia Artists Management and Herbert Barrett Management before forming his own artists management agency.
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, he is an avid sports fan and practices Naam Yoga and is a grateful student of Dr. Joseph Michael Levry .[1][2] Dr. Mirshak volunteers for Naam Yoga helping their not for profit mission serving those in need and does research on the power of sound, music and meditation.
