C Vote totals include votes for minor candidates, "uncommitted", "no preference", "write-ins", and other options.
D National delegates for this state were selected later at a state convention by district delegates selected in this caucus. National delegates were not pledged to any candidate based on the caucus results.
E Wyoming's delegates were officially unpledged. The delegate count is based on the preferences of the delegates.[57]
F 20 Michigan delegates were initially pledged to Mitt Romney but became uncommitted because his campaign was suspended between the primary and state convention to select delegates.[5]
G One delegate from Tennessee was pledged to be uncommitted.[2]
H Ron Paul claimed to have received three West Virginia delegates in exchange for supporting Huckabee at the state convention.[59] Two West Virginia delegates voted for Paul at the national convention.[1]

J One delegate from Idaho was pledged to "none of the above".[54]
