The BDM-Salt Lake Special is a custom built high-speed motorcycle, designed and built by students at the University of Adelaide. The bike is part of a final year design project for mechanical engineers, and has been running since 2008. The project aims to showcase the high-performance potential of bio-fuels by breaking land-speed records with a bio-diesel powered motorbike.
